The dialysis unit in Badr Al Samaa hospital has been functioning for the past three years. The department is headed by Dr.Vinod Chandran; MD, DM (Nephro). It is a matter of great pride that such a unit was first of its kind in the private sector in the whole of Oman.

 Our centre offers   the services of a full time nephrologist and well trained dialysis staffs. Our unit has dialysis machines and water treatment system supported by Fresenius medical care. Our unit mainly caters to patients with End Stage Kidney Disease, acute renal failure, acute on chronic renal failure and we receive patients from different nationalities, mostly expatriates and visitors as part of tourism to the Sultanate of Oman. We offer services like placement of temporary and permanent venous access, routine clinical assessment of AV fistula and grafts and dialysis modalities like low flux, high flux and SLED. We   routinely perform dialysis adequacy through online clearance monitoring.

We are proud of this unit, and in future plan to expand our services to meet the needs of ever growing   dialysis requiring population.
