Following the group’s valuable attributes of affordability, availability and accessibility, Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals launched the largest healthcare facility in the private sector at Sohar on Friday 28th, October, 2020. This, more than 100 bedded, advanced facility will provide boon to the people of the adjoining areas of Sohar like Buraimi, Shinas, Liwa, Saham, Al Khaboura, Al Suwaiq, who don’t have to now travel distances for quality healthcare. This is one of the few facilities in private healthcare of the Sultanate which, right from scratch, is purposely built to be a hospital. 

Badr Al Samaa Hospital, Sohar is the 11th addition in the group. At a close distance Badr Al Samaa has two advanced medical centres (Sohar & Falaj Al Qabail) and initially they had no plan to set-up a hospital but looking at the needs and demands of the people of Al Batinah region for an advanced healthcare facility, Badr Al Samaa Group decided to set-up this world-class facility and more than business, Badr Al Samaa sees this project as the service to the community.

With addition of more specialities and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic modalities Badr Al Samaa Group will soon hold a formal grand inauguration ceremony adhering to pandemic protocols. 

Considering the need of advanced IPD and Critical Care during COVID-19 times, the Ministry of Health and various directorates of other ministries requested Badr Al Samaa Group to complete the project well before time and Badr Al Samaa is very proud to become the leading partner of the Ministry of Health in this fight against COVID-19.

This facility is built adhering to the Ministry of Health, Oman and Joint Commission International (JCI, USA) benchmarks and protocols. Featuring a state-of-the-art surgical facility, emergency department, IPD wing and advanced diagnostic center, the hospital will be staffed by well qualified and experienced physicians and other clinical staff who are committed to provide compassionate care.  The hospital houses 5 Modular Operation Theaters, 20 Critical Care Beds (MICU, NICU, SICU, CCU), 13 Bedded Fully Fledged Emergency,7 Dialysis Beds among other advanced facility. The hospital has plans to add a Cath Lab, CT scan, MRI, Lithotripsy, Mammography, Stroke ICU and many other advanced facilities in short period of time.
