Badr Treatment Abroad joins hands with Bumrungrad International Hospital, Thailand

Badr Treatment Abroad, the in-bound and out-bound medical tourism services vertical of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, has joined hands with renowned Bumrungrad International Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand, the first Joint Commission International (JCI, USA) hospital of Asia, for providing advanced medical services. Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals being the largest and internationally accredited (JCI, USA & ACHSI) private healthcare group of Oman regularly takes initiatives to make the advanced technology and newer medical programs accessible and available to the people of the Sultanate of Oman. To expand its horizons of providing tertiary level care for patients, Badr Al Samaa under its Badr Treatment Abroad program has joined hands with Bumrungrad International Hospital to felicitate the willing patients to choose the right healthcare provider. A MoU signing ceremony was held in Sheraton Oman hotel.


Under this partnership Badr Treatment Abroad aims at providing and ensuring services in three broad areas; making OPD and surgical services of Bumrungrad available within the country, facilitating patients willing to undergo treatment in Bumrungrad facility in Thailand and knowledge exchange programs and scientific sessions conducted by Bumrungrad doctors for doctors of Oman.


Dr. P A Mohammed, Managing Director, Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals on this occasion said that a large number of Omanis and expats go abroad for seeking advanced medical care due to long waiting list for more specialized healthcare services and surgical procedures; a considerable amount goes to Thailand. Initiatives are being taken to ensure capacity building within the country. For outgoing patients this partnership will help us connect our patients to most reliable healthcare partner in Thailand.

Moideen Bilal, Executive Director, Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals said that eventually while adhering to Ministry of Health policies and protocols the doctors of Bumrungrand International Hospital will conduct OPD services and surgical camps in the facilities of Badr Al Samaa within Oman and this concept falls in line with the vision of managing directors of Badr Al Samaa of providing all possible healthcare services within Oman so that eventually no one has to travel out of the country. He said Badr Treatment Abroad program will help choosing a reliable healthcare partner for the patients willing to travel out of country for advanced medical needs.


Firasath Hassan, Executive Director, Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals said that Badr Treatment Abroad association with Bumrungrad International Hospital for Badr Al Samaa’s patient referral will ensure the continuity of care from one internationally accredited hospital to another.
