BADR AL SAMAA BECOMES OFFICIAL MEDICAL PARTNERS FOR HOCKEY 5S WORLD CUP & OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS

In a momentous occasion marking the collaboration of sports and healthcare, the official MoU signing ceremony for Official Medical Partner happened between Oman Hockey Association and Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals at the corporate office of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals at Ruwi, Muscat. Oman Hockey Association signed Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals as Official Medical Partners of Hockey 5s World Cup and Olympic Qualifiers tournaments, which are currently taking place in the brand new Hockey Stadium at Al Amerat, Muscat. It is noteworthy to mention that Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals is the long-term official medical partner of Oman Hockey Association.

Abdul Latheef Uppala, Managing Director of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and Dr. Marwan Al Juma, Chairman of Oman Hockey Association signed the MoU. The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Moideen Bilal, Executive Director and senior management of of Badr Al Samaa and all board members of Oman Hockey Association.

This hockey extravaganza in Oman is hosting 22 countries participating in both tournaments - Hockey 5s World Cup and Olympic Qualifiers.

Dr. Marwan Al Juma expressed satisfaction over the quality and comprehensive medical support which Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals has been providing to Oman Hockey Association for years. He was confident that Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals will deliver the best medical services adhering to advanced protocols of such global sports tournaments.

In a joint statement by executive directors of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, Moideen Bilal and Firasath Hassan, they said; “The MOU solidifies a strategic collaboration with Oman Hockey Association that underscores the commitment to international player’s well-being during the highly anticipated Hockey 5s World Cup and Olympic Qualifiers. As Official Medical Partners, we are proud to bring our expertise in sports medicine to the global stage. Our commitment to the well-being of the athletes aligns seamlessly with the values of the Hockey 5s World Cup & Olympic Qualifiers, and we look forward to contributing to the success of the tournament."

Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals along with Ministry of Health has formed a strong team with experts in sports medicine to cover all international fixtures and training sessions of the participating teams. A three tier medical support system is established. On-ground medical support is made available. A fully equipped medical room is set-up at the hockey stadium to cater to critical injuries. Advanced ambulances with back-up are available all the time to address to hospital shifting needs.
